Job Summary:

At Sutton's, we are seeking a dedicated and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely delivery of materials to various job sites, aiding in job site maintenance, and supporting overall operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will be proactive, responsible, and committed to upholding the safety and integrity of the job sites and office premises.

Job Overview:

• Deliver Materials : Safely transport materials from our warehouse to designated job sites, ensuring that supplies arrive in a timely and secure manner.

• Site Maintenance : Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and order of job sites, removing debris and organizing supplies to ensure a safe working environment.

• Warehouse Management : Participate in warehouse operations including inventory control, material sorting, and ensuring accurate material accountability.

• Safety Compliance : Adhere to all job site safety protocols and participate in emergency preparedness activities, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

• Emergency Support : Provide prompt delivery of emergency supplies to job sites as required, ensuring minimal disruption to ongoing operations.

• Grounds Maintenance : Assist with occasional maintenance tasks at the office premises to keep the external areas safe and presentable.

• Vehicle Upkeep : Perform basic maintenance checks on the delivery vehicle, report any issues, and ensure the vehicle is clean and well-maintained.

Qualifications:
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues efficiently in a supporting role.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a commitment to resolving customer issues with a positive outcome.
- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently and manage a schedule effectively.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in trade school or relevant field is a plus.

Delivery Driver Requirements:

1. Positive Attitude: Approach all tasks and challenges with a can-do attitude, ensuring a positive work environment and customer interactions.

2. Ability to drive trucks, vans, and pull trailers. Ability to back trailers into tight spaces. 

3. No Fear of Heights: Comfortable working at heights, with the ability to safely navigate roofing and other elevated project sites.

4. Verifiable Work Experience is preferred.

5. Valid Driver's License: Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record to travel to job sites and service calls.

6. Positive Background Check: Successful completion of a background check, confirming professionalism and suitability for the role.

Input labor hours daily

Ensure daily scheduled deliveries are efficiently completed

Pick-up, deliver, and haul materials and/or tools to and from warehouse/vendors/jobsites

Pick-up, deliver, and haul trailers to and from warehouse/jobsites/dump

Work with Warehouse Manager to coordinate any changes that may arise efficiently

Use Company Cam (App on company supplied phone) to verify each delivery has been completed

Maintain warehouse and office cleanliness

Daily Addition
Run nail sweeps in parking lots, sweep, empty office trash, p/u yard of any trash, etc.

As Needed

Spray for weeds, edging, leaf p/u, snow removal, landscaping, change light bulbs, monthly furnace filter, etc.

Help to unload and load incoming material deliveries from vendors

Help to prepare for the upcoming days; deliveries and carpenter pickups

Communicate w/ warehouse manager on assets as they are moved to/from job sites/carpenters
