At Progress Rail, the team is not just building the future of rail-they are making history every day. **Education / Training:** - BS Degree in Environmental, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or related field; - First Aid/CPR/AED Certification. - Safety Certification (CSP, ASP, etc.). - OSHA 10/30 hour; RCRA; HAZWOPER; HAZWASTE, DOT 181; Industrial Hygiene classes (CIH); **Job Title:** EHS Manager **City:** Sidney **Key Job Elements:** - Provides regular approved Safety training to Progress Rail employees, including New Hire, OSHA, CPR, AED training, etc.; - Ensures compliance of facilities for OSHA, EPA, State, County and local policies and procedures; - Leads incident investigations and/or response teams for EHS incidents; - Implements corrective actions found during investigations and/or audits; - Manages preventable maintenance schedules; - Completes action items as directed in Progress Rail Safety Compliance System (PRACSNET); - Conducts Safety and Environmental audits and inspections; - Performs routine Job Safety Analyses; - Maintains and updates MSDS Materials/Manuals; - Serves as Facility's Emergency Coordinator; - Monitors daily production to promote safe working conditions; - Leads Facility's Safety Committee; - Maintains all records related to Safety function in a designated shop; - Orders Personal Protective Equipment and maintains the distribution system; - Other job-related duties as assigned **Qualifications and Experience:** - 3-5 years of EHS related experience in an industrial setting; - Experience with State and Federal environmental regulations; - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with a wide variety of audiences; - Experience with Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); - Valid driver's license; - Must be able to pass a background check which reviews any and all felonies and misdemeanors in the past 7 years; - Must be able to meet requirements of pre-employment, post-offer drug test and fitness for duty medical review and exam; - 5-7+ years of EHS experience; - Experience in Locomotive Manufacturing/Re-manufacturing industry; - Experience with SAFE START or similar safety program; - Experience managing/handling compliance issues, permitting for all media, manufacturing operations, Caterpillar Confidential Green Caterpillar: (Non-Confidential) OSHA/EPA programs, regulatory reviews, permit preparation, reporting and record keeping; **EEO:** Progress Rail is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including Veterans and Individuals with Disabilities. **Benefits:** Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance, and experience.
