TSW Utility Solutions, Inc. is a full-service underground utility contractor that focuses on the central Indiana market. We specialize in underground water and wastewater industry services. Are you an experienced leader with a passion for outdoor work?

We are currently looking for a motivated and experienced  Crew Foreman to lead our  Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) crew in Indianapolis, IN. In this hands-on role, you'll guide a team of 2 to 8 employees to deliver high-quality results on various projects. If you're a strong leader who thrives in the field and knows HDD inside and out, this role is for you!

The starting pay is $28.00-$38.00 per hour contingent upon experience. We are currently offering limited-time sign-on and referral bonuses to all new hires who meet the requirements outlined in our sign-on and referral bonus programs.

What You'll Do

• Lead and work alongside your team on HDD projects, including maintenance, restoration, construction, and cleanup.
• Locate the Sonde for the directional drill operator.
• Drive water trucks and trailers for project needs.
• Plan, assign, and oversee crew tasks to ensure projects are completed efficiently and safely.
• Maintain accountability for crew productivity, efficiency, and compliance with safety standards and environmental regulations.
• Act as the crew's designated Safety Person.
• Maintain high-quality standards for safety, environmental care, and operational procedures.
• Ensure all equipment, vehicles, tools, and materials are used and maintained properly. Perform minor field repairs when needed.
• Be available to work outside regular business hours if required.
• Act as a point of contact for internal teams and clients, resolving service issues as needed.

What We Need

• At least 5 years of related HDD pipeline experience, including trenching and shoring.
• At least 5 years of water and sanitary pipe experience
• Valid Indiana Driver's License with a safe driving record.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience working with large diameter pipes and bores
• Extensive knowledge of HDD equipment and all crew positions.
• General knowledge of operations, maintenance, installation, and testing gained through 2+ years of experience.
• Familiarity with Indiana's varied ground conditions and proper bore fluid mixing techniques.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to interpret maps, drawings, and procedural manuals.
• Experience using computers or related devices for reporting and communication.
• Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting over 50 pounds, standing, walking, and climbing.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, with occasional indoor work as needed.
