Job Description

Highland Consulting Group, a construction specific recruiting firm specializing in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions, is working with a well-established Mechanical Contractor in the Buffalo, NY area to find an experienced Service Manager .  This permanent, full-time position offers the opportunity to oversee a team of commercial HVAC service technicians, driving training and business development and retention.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leads and directs the service department.
• Ensures that staff is trained and motivated to provide excellent service.
• Provides ongoing technical and safety support.
• Ensures that the department has the necessary tools, equipment and manpower.
• Helps to create department budget, managing expenses to meet annual plan.
• Monitors invoices and related documentation.
• Review and approve all construction related documentation.
• Reviews and develops staff.
• Foster strong client relationships to encourage repeat business.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of management experience within a commercial HVAC service environment.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC equipment, ductwork and equipment repairs and modifications.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety rules.
• Strong computer and interpersonal skills.
• Strong financial knowledge.

• Anticipated salary range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000 annually.  As required by local law, Highland Consulting Group believes that the attached salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position.
