What You'll Do

Diagnose malfunctions on equipment and perform repairs
Operate the following mobile equipment: loaders, forklifts, trucks, material handlers and other various equipment to troubleshoot
Ensure all jobs are completed in a proficient and safe manner when working within the plant and/or garage shop areas while wearing Personal Protective Equipment
Ability to inspect vehicle(s) for any safety or operational defects using DOT, maintenance, and safety checklists and ensuring emergency equipment is in proper working order
Comply with DOT and state inspection requirements
DOT Manual compliance and regulations knowledge
Responsible to complete DOT manifests and paperwork.
Trailer maintenance including electrical, tire changing and brakes

What You'll Need

Must be able to perform minor repairs and routine tasks efficiently, correctly, and safely
Must keep clean and safe work area and comply with all plant specific rules, procedures, and duties
Minimum 2 years previous DOT experience
No on-road preventable accidents during the past (3) years as shown on the Motor Vehicle Road (MVR); accidents are reviewed by CMC Logistics
CDL A License
Electrical troubleshooting and installation skills
Brake certification
