Nesco Resource has partnered with a prestigious law firm in the pursuit to hire a Legal Assistant with No Fault experience or is familiar with medical, insurance, or personal injury documentation.
This is a hybrid role with three in-office days per week in Uniondale, NY. The remaining two days per week may be worked remotely. .
What You'll Do:
Assist attorneys with day-to-day tasks related to No-Fault cases.
Draft, edit, and format legal documents and correspondence.
Organize and maintain case files, including scanning, copying, and electronic filing.
Prepare and submit filings through NYSCEF and other online systems.
Schedule meetings, court dates, and depositions; manage attorney calendars.
Enter attorney time and assist with billing and expense submissions.
Communicate with insurance carriers, clients, and medical providers when needed.
Provide general administrative support — answering phones, emails, and handling document requests.
What We're Looking For:
Experience working in a law firm or office that handles No-Fault, personal injury, or insurance matters.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Professional communication skills — both written and verbal.
A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset.
Bonus Points:
Familiarity with electronic filing systems (NYSCEF, ECF).
Experience with billing/time entry programs (like iTimekeep or Chrome River).
