Job Title: MAMMOGRAM TECH
Pay: $75 Per Hour
Shift : Days are Monday through Friday, with hours varying from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., or 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., depending on the required coverage.
Location : Rancho Mirage, CA
Schedule: 13-week contract
Job Duties: Produces quality screening and diagnostic mammography films and dual-energy X-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) exams; educates patients regarding patient exams and accurately documents procedures completed and procedure codes.
Responsibilities: - Demonstrates compliance with Code of Conduct and compliance policies, and takes action to resolve compliance questions or concerns and report suspected violations
- Interacts compassionately and effectively with patients, providing a Five Star experience by reducing anxieties; provides explanations of procedures and equipment, and answers questions
- Escorts patients from the sub-wait area to the procedure room
- Explain the procedure to the patient before beginning the exam
- Obtains the appropriate medical history required (patient and family) before the procedure is started.
- Explains comparative film review and obtains patient film release signature, as appropriate.
- Performs appropriate screening and diagnostic mammography exams
- Completes all required billing and documentation accurately and timely in EHR and PACS
- Performs bone density screening as assigned
- Maintains the cleanliness of all radiology equipment and rooms
- Maintains job knowledge by the Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) and state regulatory requirements
- Follows department timekeeping procedures
- Works at the main campus and satellite facilities

- Proficient in the use of mammography and DEXA equipment
Required Certifications & Licensure: Required: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) - Radiology (R); California Radiologic Technologist (CRT) license, Radiography and Mammography; American Heart Association BLS.
Experience :
· Preferred: Mammography screening experience.
Required Education: Required: Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) approved School of Radiologic Technology.
