Join Real Alloy in Loudon, TN as a Melt Shop Furnace Operations Assistant

You clock in a few minutes early, suit up in PPE, and step onto the melt deck where teamwork and precision keep production moving. Your shift is a 12-hour rotation—some days, some nights—but you work just 15 days each month, gaining 7 full days off within the cycle. You support furnace operations, help keep material flowing, and make the floor safer and more efficient for everyone.

What You’ll Gain

• Starting pay of $22.41/hour , growing to $25.90/hour after 90 days with strong attendance and performance
• Work-life rhythm: 15 days worked per month with 7 days off within the rotation
• Bonuses: $300 sign-on after 90 days and $600 retention after 9 months
• Rotating 12-hour schedule: 7AM–7PM and 7PM–7AM
• Shift cycle: 4 on, 3 off, 3 on, 1 off, 3 on, 3 off, 4 on, 7 off , then repeat

What You’ll Do

Assist in all furnace operations in a timely, safe manner to keep the shift productive. You’ll support material handling, communicate with teammates, and operate within strict safety procedures in a high-temperature industrial environment.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Ability to work overtime and on a rotating schedule in a 24/7/365 operation
• Excellent communication skills and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel

Physical Demands

• Lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds
• Use of senses for visual examination, observing surrounding traffic, and determining employee location
• Ability to judge distance and distinguish colors
• Use of touch and smell to identify equipment issues; ability to speak and understand speech
• Adequate hearing to recognize safety alarms
• Work in tight or confined spaces and in extreme heat near furnaces
• Climb and work on ladders; balance and work at heights for extended periods
• Frequent walking, standing, reaching, crouching, sitting, kneeling, crawling, twisting, and torso rotation
