Job Description

About Uplifter

Uplifter Inc. is a leading North American sports-technology company powering 1,700+ clubs, 200+ national and provincial organizations, and 4 million users across gymnastics, curling, skating, cycling, athletics, and more. With teams in Toronto, Vancouver, Montréal, and Nashville, we build the mission-critical infrastructure that keeps amateur and elite sport running—membership, events, payments, compliance, sanctioning, and athlete pathways.

As we unify multiple platforms (Uplifter, Interpodia, Curling Club Manager) and build Uplifter 2.0 , we are modernizing our engineering organization to deliver scalable, reliable, and intuitive product experiences.

We are seeking a data-driven, user-centric Product Manager to lead the definition and execution of our product roadmap, bridging the gap between our business goals and our technical teams.

Job Summary

The Product Manager is responsible for guiding the development of the next generation of Uplifter products. You will own the "what" and "why" behind the software, working closely with Engineering Leads, UI/UX Designers, and key stakeholders to deliver solutions that solve real problems for athletes, coaches, and administrators.

In this role, you will be the voice of the customer. You will translate high-level vision into actionable user stories, manage the product backlog, and ensure that our engineering teams are focused on the highest-value work. You will play a pivotal role in the successful rollout of Uplifter 2.0.

This role is fully on site, in-office 5 days a week at our office in Arlington VA, just outside of Washington D.C.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Roadmap

  • Contribute to the product vision and strategy for Uplifter 2.0, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
  • Conduct market research and user interviews to understand the needs of sports organizations, clubs, and athletes.
  • Define and prioritize the product roadmap, balancing new feature development with technical debt and platform modernization.

Execution & Delivery

  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
  • Manage the product backlog, ensuring it is prioritized, refined, and ready for engineering execution.
  • Work closely with the Lead Mobile, Backend, and Frontend Developers to ensure feasibility and accurate estimation of features.
  • Lead sprint planning, grooming, and review sessions in an Agile environment.

Collaboration & Communication

  • Serve as the primary liaison between the technical team and non-technical stakeholders (Sales, Support, Marketing).
  • Collaborate with UI/UX Designers to create intuitive and accessible user experiences.
  • Communicate product updates, launch timelines, and release notes to the broader organization.
  • Analyze product performance metrics (KPIs) post-launch to iterate and improve.

Preferred Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager in a SaaS environment.
  • Proven track record of managing the end-to-end product lifecycle, from conception to launch.
  • Strong experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Linear, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills; comfortable using data to drive decision-making.
  • Technical fluency; ability to understand architectural trade-offs and discuss technical constraints with engineers.

Nice to Have

  • Background in sports technology, membership management, or event registration platforms.
  • Experience with B2B2C business models.
  • Experience launching mobile applications (iOS/Android) alongside web platforms.
  • Familiarity with design tools like Figma or Sketch.

Why Join Uplifter?

  • Compensation: Competitive salary + performance bonus.
  • Impact: A chance to directly impact amateur and elite sport across North America and globally.
  • Culture: Strong culture of ownership, autonomy, and product innovation.
  • Time Off: Unlimited PTO subject to delivery on targets.
  • Benefits: Health/dental/vision benefits.
  • Work Environment: On site with a small, dedicated, local team for rapid growth.
