Job Description

Our entertainment/tech client is looking for a Senior Art Director / Design Lead who pairs strategic thinking with hands-on execution. This role calls for someone who can confidently run the day-to-day creative workflow, elevate the work of a junior designer, and deliver beautifully considered solutions across digital experiences.

Responsibilities:

• Own Creative Delivery: Drive projects from brief to final asset, managing timelines and ensuring work is thoughtful, on-brand, and high-quality.

• Lead & Mentor: Provide coaching, direction, and constructive feedback to a junior designer, helping shape their skills and creative approach.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, product, editorial, and content stakeholders to translate ideas into cohesive visual experiences.

• Bring New Thinking: Contribute original ideas, creative approaches, and design innovations rooted in audience behavior and emerging technology.

• Quality Stewardship: Review work with a critical eye—refining, polishing, and ensuring consistency across all deliverables.

Required Qualifications:

• 6–8 years of design experience, including 2–3 years in a senior or lead role.

• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and modern design tools—especially design systems, components, variants, and scalable libraries.

• Strong command of responsive layouts, typography, color, and visual hierarchy.

• Ability to juggle multiple projects without sacrificing craft or clarity.

• A portfolio that highlights leadership, strong visual thinking, and end-to-end project ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience mentoring junior designers and growing creative talent.

• Background in agency environments or fast-paced in-house creative teams.

• Familiarity with interactive and responsive digital products, including mobile.

• Exposure to motion design concepts and applications.
