Early Intervention
It is estimated that 2% of all children born each year will have a disabling condition. Many of these children will have speech and or language delays and disorders that may have a significant effect on personal, social, academic, or vocational life.
Early stimulation is given for high risk babies like who had a very bad post delivery period like prematurity jaundice, infections, breathlessness, respiratory support and need for oxygen. As prevention is always better than cure, such babies should always be assessed properly and stimulation started to prevent a developmental delay from occurring. For those brains are damaged, early stimulation helps them to at least partly overcome, due to plasticity.
Early intervention is given to those who have already developed some delay but still young to overcome it, if proper therapy is given. This is usually given for those with minor delays and less then 5years of age.

Behavioural Therapy
DO you remember being punished as a child? Why do you think your parents did that? Despite what we thought back then, it wasn’t because they hated us and enjoyed watching us suffer through a week without television. They merely disapproved of our actions and were hoping to prevent us from repeating them in the future. This is an excellent example of behavior modification.
Once a diagnosis has been made, Our Behavioral therapists implement treatment interventions. These treatments are tailored to individual clients and typically involve motivating clients to modify and change behaviors.
Behavior modification refers to the techniques used to try and decrease or increase a particular type of behavior or reaction. This might sound very technical, but it’s used very frequently by all of us.
Occupational Therapy
Our occupational therapist work with children with any condition, impairment that affects their ability to perform the everydayactivities of life, such as getting dressed, eating, going to school, being part of group.
- Neurological conditions (e.g. cerebral palsy)
- Acute medical, surgical and orthopedic conditions
- Physical disabilities
- Development delay and disabilities
- Sensory and attention issues
Speech and Language Therapy
Speech is the verbal means of communication. This has three components-voice, articulation and fluency. Problems like cleft palate, problems in tongue/lip movement of even overcrowding of teeth can result in articulation disorders in addition to disorders of cerebellum which results in dysarthria (difficulty in speaking as if drunk). The rate and rhythm in which we speak constitute the fluency. Difficulties in this may result in stammering/stuttering.
We maintain excellent professional relationship with the referring physicians by giving them timely reports about the progress, with the consent of parents
Speech and language therapy is the process of enabling people to communicate to the best of their ability. Our Speech and language pathologist assess the nature of the client’s problem, and then provide treatment, advice and support. We work closely with families, care givers and provides parental training programmes.
